Arch Talks was created as a resource to synthesize architecturally relevant material (i.e. documentaries, lectures, interviews, building tours etc) in audio, video and transcription format. The goal is to gather all of the best quality videos/audio that exists online and inspire people to both document and share their own captured/archived media.

Studio5 Final Exhibition - Day 1 | Stüdyo5 Final Sergisi - 1.Gün @ YEM / Istanbul

YTU 1:1 Material_Experimentation Exhibition has just opened on January 17th at YEM The Building Information Center.

The Exhibit displays the work of the students from the MTG Design Studio at Yildiz Technical University Department of Architecture. The students are displaying their first experimental 1 scale pavillions

Once upon a time ....

The students of Studio 5 were successful in creating 3 basic parametric design projects called Cave, Ladybug and Fence, which were based on the fairytale James and the Giant Peach. Although it was a strenuous process, the story behind the project required a sense of adventure that created a fun and lively atmosphere for the students.

The Students of Studio 5 shared in the exciting adventures of James and his friends (Ladybug) in their new home (Cave) where they faced many obstacles (Fence). Their ability to work together, to inspire each other and to overcome their obstacles allowed them all to enjoy the fairy tale of James and the Giant Peach

The Exhibition open until 25th of January ...

Yapı Endüstri Merkezi'nde devam etmekte olan YTÜ 1:1 Materyal_Deneyim isimli 1. sınıf mimarlık öğrencilerinin Mimari Projeye Giriş (MTG) dersi kapsamında gerçekleştirdikleri 1:1 ölçekli dönem sonu projelerinin 2. Gününde Stüdyo 5 olarak James ve Dev Şeftali hikayesinden yola çıkarak hazırlanan projelerin kurulumları tamamlanmıştır.

James ve Dev Şeftali hikayesindeki gibi çok heyecanlı ve yorucu bir serüvenin ardından gerçekleşen sergi 25 Ocak 2011 Salı gününe kadar Yapı Endüstri Merkezi'nde gezilebilir.

Evvel zaman içinde...

Studyo 5 öğrencileri James ve Dev şeftaki hikayesinden yola çıkarak soyutladıkları Cave, Ladybug ve Fence isimli 3 ''temel hesaplamalı tasarım'' projesini 1/1 ölçekte başarıyla gerçekleştirdiler. Her ne kadar uzun ve zahmetli bir süreç yaşamış olsalar da tıpkı hikayedeki gibi canlı bir atmosferde ve bolca eğlenerek mimarlık hayatlarındaki ilk serüvenlerini mutlu sonla tamamladılar.

Bütün dönemin değerlendirmesinin yapılacağı tartışma ve sunumlar, 24 Ocak Pazartesi günü saat 14:00'da başlayacak olan kolokyumda izlenebilir.
